Charlene, seen here dealing with a snide creep of a colleague, was a tough little fighter, Scott more middle class. She wanted to train as a mechanic, he wanted to be a journalist.
Despite their differing personalities and ambitions, the two were deeply in love. And we cheered them on. But the odds seemed so stacked against them. They were too young... surely they couldn't make it to the altar?

The whole Scott and Charlene saga entranced huge numbers of us. And there was also great interest in Kylie and Jason. Were they dating? The real life question interested me not a jot, but the Neighbours saga back then was an absolute must-watch.
